Those aspirants who want to join IAF asAirmanwill have to come for the recruitment test for Group-X (Technical) trades which is going to be held at Gandhi Stadium, Balangir, Odisha. Eligibility Criteria for IAF Airman Job:
The candidates who want to apply for IAF Airman Group X jobs must have done any one of these:
(i) Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Passed 3 years Diploma Course in Engineering from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate.
(iii) Passed medical engineering in any discipline from a government recognized institute.
Age Limitation: Candidates born between 13 January 1998 and 27 June 2001 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.
Aspirants below 18 years of age need to get the Consent form filled and signed by their parent-guardian.
Pay Scale for IAF Airman Vacancy: During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid to the selected contender.On completion of training, the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay will be Rs. 33,100/- per month plus Dearness Allowance (as applicable).
Along with this, some other allowances like Transport Allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.

Verification of Eligibility:
Initially screening of applications will be done on the basis of applications which include educational criteria and age criteria.
The candidates who qualify the documents verification round will further participate in written test which is objective type and question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper.
Duration of the written test will be 60 minutes and will comprise of English, Physics and Mathematics as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
After the written test, the aspirants will undergo Adaptability Test-1 which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
PFT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 7 minutes.
Candidates will also have to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test.
Those who qualified the Physical fitness test, they will go through the next process. Adaptability Test-2 is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.
(i) General Medical Standards are as follows:
Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately
Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments.
Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
